HUMAN APJ x LORENA COCIONI Ear cuff and soap.

One ear cuff in solid sterling silver and freshwater pearls and one handmade soap by Lorena Cocioni.

Inspired by her work in ceramics we created a small edition ear cuff in sterling silver and freshwater pearls attached to an ear made out of soap by Lorena. In her artist practice, she often uses the body senses and the ritual component of everyday actions, such as washing, combing hair, (un)dressing and taking care of the body. From the use of feathers, toiletry soaps to glass and metal shapes, she brings together different materials alongside her ceramics. She plays with them creating apparently fragile, yet very consistent works that resemble an almost ancient past, as well as a blurred future.

The jewellery piece is stuck in the handmade soap, we recommend removing it before use as the pearls need protection from water and other substances. This project is an artist collaboration, not made to be used as it is.

Cuff measures 2 x 2 cm. Polished finish.

Both pieces, the ear cuff and the soap are handcrafted in Bucharest.
